AsiaLearn Ad

As an advisor or representative to the Japanese American Student Society, I thought you would be interested to know about AsiaLearn and our study abroad programs in Asia.

AsiaLearn is an international education organization that facilitates and supports students for semester, year and summer study at universities across Asia.  Our organization works closely with the study abroad office at UC Davis to compliment student exchange and faculty-led program in an effort to increase interest and participation in study abroad programs.  Only a small percentage of North American students study abroad in Asia so I hope that by reaching out to the Asian interest groups and clubs we may find other outlets for increasing awareness and interest in Asia as a study abroad destination.

AsiaLearn programs do not require prior foreign language proficiency so students will find language classes available from beginner level to advanced levels.  Students will also find classes across all majors (instructed in English).  Please visit our website for more details:

If you are interested in receiving more information about AsiaLearn and our study abroad programs, please reply and provide your mailing address and I will send you a copy of our 2010/2011 AsiaLearn Study Abroad guide.

Our staff often visits UC Davis to attend study abroad fairs, give presentations, and collaborate with the Study Abroad Office.  I would welcome the opportunity to arrange a meeting with you to learn more about your goals and how we might collaborate to increase interest in the countries of Asia.  Please let me know if you would be interested in setting a meeting when we next visit UC Davis.

Best regards,

Aaron Carlson
